Residential Advisors (RAs) are one of the leadership groups at Lincoln College. RAs take on leadership roles within the college, looking after a floor or corridor of residents in a ‘buddy’ style system. They are given training at the beginning of the academic year to equip them in their leadership roles. The Residential Advisor roles are applied for, with applicants going through a formal recruitment process. The Dean of Students and Head of College make the appointments.
Academic Tutors (ATs) are key leaders at Lincoln. Only senior residents who have excelled in their studies will be considered for the roles of Academic Tutors. Each AT looks after a cohort such as ‘Medicine’, ‘Humanities’ and ‘Creative Arts’. The ATs are responsible for delivering academic support to their Lincoln College cohorts and co-ordinate weekly tutorials, drop-in sessions and industry guest speakers for panel discussions. Academic Tutor’s roles are applied for, with applicants going through a formal recruitment process. The Dean of Students and Head of College make the appointments.
The College Club is made up of residents elected by the college community into areas of responsibility concerning Lincoln’s sporting and social events and general leadership of the student community. The College Club Committee includes roles like President, Treasurer and Sporting Secretary. The College Club representatives actively engage with both the student body and senior members of the College staff. The College Club President also represents the College student community on the Lincoln College Board.
