Lincoln College was founded by the Methodist Church and named after Lincoln College in Oxford. It was initially for young men only, welcoming its first female residents in 1973. These days it is a highly diverse community providing a home for students from all backgrounds and cultures.
Lincoln College is proud to partner with key institutions in South Australia, including the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia and Flinders University. Lincoln also works closely with Torrens University, TafeSA, University of Adelaide College and Tabor Adelaide.
Lincoln is an agency of the Uniting Church South Australia, under Uniting Care, the educational and social services arm of the church.
We have strong links with the other residential colleges in Adelaide through sporting, social, networking and cultural activities.

We acknowledge this land that we meet on today is the traditional lands for the Kaurna people and that we respect their spiritual relationship with their country.
We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.
We also pay respects to the cultural authority of Aboriginal people visiting/attending from other areas of South Australia/Australia.
