You’ll find a diverse, inclusive and very welcoming community at Lincoln College, with residents from all sorts of backgrounds, cultures and geographical areas. We often hear from  alumni, that the friendships forged at Lincoln College are the longest lasting and most important of their lives. While residents strive to do well academically while at Lincoln, they are also here to make those long-lasting friendships, and many of our activities are built around fostering that open, friendly community.

Your wellbeing is our priority. Our Dean of Students lives on site and is a psychologist. She is available to residents seeking support for any issues related to their studies, personal life and mental health.  For your physical health, we are a fully catered College, with 21 meals a week offered in The Dining Hall.  We can also cater to any specific dietary needs you might have. With two gyms, a visiting personal trainer and a long list of optional sporting competitions, we also offer numerous ways to keep physically fit.

Lincoln College provides a range of leadership opportunities within the College community to help you hone skills essential for any profession.  Suitable senior residents can apply to take on roles including Academic Tutors, Residential Advisors and elected members of The College Club. The leadership opportunities residents can take up at Lincoln College are extremely valuable later in life and can be very attractive to future employers.

Our academic tutors work with study groups focused on specific disciplines, such as Medicine, Engineering, Humanities and Arts, Science, and more. This ensures you can team up with students in similar courses to discuss material and test ideas. Professionals from your field of study share their career path and give you insider knowledge of what to expect once you finish your degree.

Life at Lincoln College also includes opportunities to take on leadership positions as tutors, residential advisors or being part of College Club, which is responsible for  much of the sporting and social activities. For senior residents, there is an opportunity to enter our mentor program. For students keen to have insights from a working professional about job prospects, resume preparation and interview techniques, we can connect them to suitable mentors.

As a not-for profit organisation, all revenue is reinvested in facilities and opportunities for the benefit of our residents. Whether you want to study or hang out with new friends, you’ll find the perfect surrounds surrounded by familiar faces. Lincoln’s facilities include beautiful outdoor areas, spacious common rooms and 24 hour access to a fully equipped onsite gym, library and kitchen.

Many of our residents have bikes and cycle to Uni or wherever they need to go. We have a locked bike shed on site that residents are invited to use and will be provided a key to on request. UniSA and the University of Adelaide city campuses are a short bike ride away from College.

We are committed to equitable access for our Indigenous residents and provide a culturally safe and welcoming space, supported by an Indigenous access program. Guided by our Indigenous Advisor, Lincoln College delivers academic support, career development, scholarships and financial assistance.

Every resident has a furnished, private room, free WiFi and access to shared spaces that includes two gyms, a library, music and craft rooms, and the Common Room. Every meal is catered, but residents also have access to kitchenettes on each floor for preparing snacks and drinks. There are shared living spaces on each floor too with free Netflix and PlayStations to enjoy. You’ll even have your room cleaned weekly!

Join in the fun of the inter-college sporting competition – with swimming, hockey, soccer, football, table tennis and basketball to name a few. We compete in events like Battle of the Bands and debating as well. We welcome all skill levels and love having supporters on the side lines to cheer us on too. The Lincoln College social calendar includes musical performances, the Lincoln Ball & Valedictory Dinner and a host of other events.

Located minutes from the CBD in North Adelaide, Lincoln College is very close the the city campuses of UniSA and the University of Adelaide. Many of our residents walk to University.  Other campuses and Flinders University are just a bus or train ride away.
