Art Competition Awards
Lincoln’s annual art competition always manages to unearth some amazing unknown talent in our residents, and this year has been no exception.
The awards for this year’s annual art competition were announced at Valedictory Dinner, after bring placed on display in the Whitehead building, and judged by George G. Aldridge, a prominent Adelaide artist, sculptor, cartoonist and illustrator. George is renowned for his cartoons and illustrations, and his breathtaking depictions of the Flinders Ranges have become iconic in Australia’s art world.
1st Prize (and Audience Choice award) went to Ebony M. for Faux Fur.
2nd Prize went to Latisha S. for Kaurna Night Stag
3rd Prize went to Piers M. for The Great Wave off Kanagawa Hokusai
New Resident Prize went to Moses L. for Stationary
Stag Prize went to Piers M. for “You’ve ruined a book” – Julian and Lewis
Highly Commended Awards, Brianna W. for Jewel in the Deep, and Meredith D. for Electric City
